Do you have to cover up your legs because you have those unsightly varicose veins?
Someone told me their doctor told her that the less circulation in the legs, the less hair on the legs. I don’t know if that’s true or not but I have good circulation in my legs and I still shave my legs. Comments on this are welcome.
One thing I haven’t had to contend with are varicose veins. Varicose veins appear because veins become abnormally thick, full of twists and turns, or enlarged. Any condition that puts excessive pressure on the legs or abdomen can lead to varicose veins. The most common pressure inducers are pregnancy, obesity, standing for long periods and hormonal changes.
I’ve known people (both men and women) who have had their legs stripped to get rid of varicose veins. I have also known people who have tried various home remedies. The one I recommend is Horse Chestnut along with Butcher’s Broom. These herbs help tone and strengthen blood vessels and help in other ways to increase the circulation in the legs. There is also a cream that helps tighten veins and is applied topically. You can read about this Vari-gone skin cream for varicose veins here: http://rainsholistichealth.net/?sn=4947. I have recommended Butcher’s Broom to increase leg circulation and eliminate varicose veins for many years. Butcher’s Broom also helps with hemorrhoids, which is a form of varicose veins.
There is a lot of information on the two links above regarding these two herbs along with more information on the combination of herbs that assist vein healing in the products. Give them a try if you suffer the discomfort of varicose veins.
Best of health to you!
